Ogun OAP, MC Governor Bids Farewell to Wise FM

Olawale Ampitan, famously known as MC Governor, has announced his resignation from Wise FM after an impressive 18-month career at the popular Ogun State-based radio station.

His departure marks the end of a remarkable tenure in which he left a lasting impact on both the station and its listeners.

Throughout his time at Wise FM, MC Governor became a prominent figure in the Ogun broadcasting scene, hosting several well-loved programs. His flagship show, The Lunch Hour Show, aired Monday through Friday in a mix of English, Pidgin, and Yoruba.

The show gained a massive following due to its engaging content, which combined humor, trending stories, creativity, and upbeat music, making it a fan favorite.

In addition to his regular programming, MC Governor was the first host of Secure 365, a security-focused show sponsored by the Ogun State Police Command. Every Tuesday, he teamed up with CSP Omolola Odutola, the command's image manager and public relations officer, to tackle critical security issues affecting the state and beyond.

Not only did he excel on-air, but MC Governor also took on key administrative roles within Wise FM. Serving as the station’s administrative officer and head of marketing, he made significant strides in boosting the station's brand visibility.

As a seasoned news anchor, MC Governor also hosted the station's Newspaper Review segment and presented national and world news for over a year, further solidifying his versatility.

With news of his resignation, speculation is rife about his next move. Industry insiders suggest that MC Governor is open to exploring new opportunities with other radio stations or media organizations across Ogun State.

In a statement reflecting on his journey, Olawale expressed deep gratitude to his supporters. "I appreciate your unwavering support and loyalty throughout my time at Wise FM. You are the reason I was able to excel, and I am grateful for your encouragement. I will keep you updated on my next move, so stay tuned!" he said.

He also thanked the management of Wise FM for the chance to be part of the station's success. "I appreciate the experience and skills I gained during my time at Wise FM. I wish the station continued success in the future," Olawale added.
