Tinubu: Nigeria on a Path to Restoration, Progress

Pesident Bola Tinubu has reassured Nigerians of a brighter future, urging them not to lose hope as the country embarks on a promising path of restoration and progress.

In his Christmas message delivered on Tuesday, Tinubu emphasized that the season embodies love, peace, and unity, qualities that are essential for national development. He also sympathized with families grieving the loss of loved ones during recent tragic incidents across the nation, including palliative distribution stampedes in Ibadan, Okija, and Abuja.

The President described Christmas as a time to reflect on divine prophecy fulfilled through the birth of Jesus Christ, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness.

“Christmas embodies the fulfilment of divine prophecy and symbolizes the triumph of love, peace, and unity,” Tinubu stated. “It is a poignant reminder that even in the darkest times, light can emerge, bringing solace and hope. This message resonates across all faiths—indeed, God is with us.”

He expressed condolences to families who have endured pain and loss this year due to various tragedies such as floods, fires, and accidents. “May those facing hardships find solace in their faith, the support of loved ones, and the abiding presence of Jesus Christ,” he added.

Tinubu urged Nigerians to show compassion to those in need, emphasizing that kindness transcends financial status. “Whether rich or modest, we all have the power to uplift someone with a smile or words of encouragement,” he said.

The President called on Nigerians to honor the country’s brave troops who risk their lives daily to safeguard the nation. “They deserve our unwavering prayers and steadfast support,” he stated, adding that prayers for the nation’s leaders would also bolster efforts toward a prosperous Nigeria.

He assured travelers of enhanced safety measures during the festive season, announcing that the government has provided free train services and subsidized road transport costs across 144 routes to ease transportation challenges.

“For those traveling this season, rest assured that the government is taking all necessary steps to secure and improve transportation routes,” he said.

President Tinubu expressed optimism about Nigeria’s trajectory, urging citizens to renew their hope and belief in a prosperous nation. “Nigeria is on a promising path of restoration and progress, with every indication pointing toward a bright future,” he noted.

As he wished Nigerians a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year, the President reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all citizens.

“Let us embrace the season’s spirit of unity, hope, and love as we strive together toward a brighter tomorrow,” Tinubu concluded.
