Rotary Club of Rock City Holds First Christmas Carol, Inducts New Members

The Rotary Club of Rock City ushered in the festive season with its First Christmas Carol and the induction of five distinguished new members. 

The memorable event took place on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the Moringa Suite, OGBC Road, and was marked by music, joy, and fellowship.

The highlight of the evening was the Christmas Carol, featuring soul-stirring renditions of classic hymns and carols that resonated with the spirit of the season.

Members and guests sang along to tunes such as "Silent Night" and "Joy to the World," creating an atmosphere of warmth and unity.

Rotary President, Henry Adedokun, in his opening remarks, emphasized the significance of the event. “Tonight, we celebrate not only the joy of Christmas but also the values of Rotary—fellowship, service, and humanity. This is a time for reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to our mission,” he stated.

The ceremony also included the induction of five new members into the club: Otunba Victor Nurudeen Shobakin, Sofela Olufela Ayobami, Victoria Titilope Adebayo, Elegbede Michael Segun, and Adewuyi Damilola Ademola.

Welcoming the inductees, President Adedokun commended them for their accomplishments and dedication. “Your induction today signifies a commitment to serving humanity and making a positive impact. Rotary Club of Rock City is proud to have you join our family,” he said.

In his response on behalf of the inductees, Otunba Victor Nurudeen Shobakin expressed their excitement and gratitude. “Being part of this club is a privilege. We look forward to contributing meaningfully and upholding the values Rotary represents,” he remarked.

The evening concluded with a vibrant networking session and refreshments, leaving members and guests inspired by the club’s vision and festive spirit.
