Ogun Workers Hail Abiodun for Christmas Bonus Approval

The Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the Joint Negotiation Committee (JNC) in Ogun State have expressed heartfelt gratitude to Governor Dapo Abiodun for approving the Christmas bonus for the state workforce. The unions described the governor as a leader who genuinely prioritizes the welfare of workers.

In separate letters addressed to the governor, the unions acknowledged the gesture as a testament to Abiodun’s commitment to easing the economic burdens faced by state employees, especially during the festive season.

The Chairman of the Ogun State Council of the TUC, Comrade Akeem Lasisi, emphasized the significance of the bonus in mitigating economic challenges. “This development was not unexpected, given the compassionate leadership His Excellency has consistently demonstrated. The Christmas bonus reaffirms this administration’s dedication to delivering impactful changes,” Lasisi noted.

He further stated, “This thoughtful gesture will undoubtedly alleviate the daily financial struggles of our workforce and their families. It is a clear indication of the government’s focus on fostering industrial harmony. We assure you, Your Excellency, of our unwavering support and loyalty to your administration.”

Similarly, JNC Chairman, Comrade Olude Isa, applauded the governor for his inclusiveness and timely intervention. He remarked, “His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, has once again brightened the season by ensuring we all have something to celebrate. The Christmas bonus embodies two critical elements: economic empowerment and a sense of belonging for every worker in the state.”

He continued, “With this gesture, we confidently went shopping, knowing that our needs are acknowledged by the administration. The governor’s actions reflect a deep understanding of the importance of welfare in fostering productivity. We are deeply appreciative and wish His Excellency continued blessings and strength to steer Ogun State toward greater heights.”

Both unions praised the administration for maintaining a strong relationship with the state workforce, adding that the bonus exemplifies the governor’s dedication to making a positive impact.
