Senators Daniel, Salisu, Hon. Afuape, Health Minister, Royal Fathers Attend Senator Yayi's New Year Celebration

Political juggernaut across Ogun State on Saturday stormed Ilaro Yewa, Ogun West Senatorial District to honour the Distinguished Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi on his New Year party and get-together.

Top of the list of high profile roll call are; Senator Gbenga Daniel, Senator representing Ogun East, Senator Shuaibu Salisu, Senator representing Ogun Central and House of Representatives member representing Abeokuta South federal constituency, Hon. Afolabi Afuape.

Others are State House of Assembly members, royal fathers from the three Senatorial Districts of the state and Minister of State for Health, Dr. Kunle Salako.

Speaking at the event, Senator Solomon Adeola Olamilekan Yayi dismissed the insinuation of campaigning for the 2027 governorship election with his developmental projects across Ogun West and some part of the state.

Senator Yayi said year 2025 is not for politicking, but to consolidate on his achievements in 2024.

He said he is still busy providing dividends of democracy for his constituents, and not thinking about 2027.

According to him, 2027 is still far to be discussing about who to become Governor of Ogun State, saying when the time comes, he will make the right decision.

"This is not time for politicking. We are still busy in providing dividends of democracy for the people. What I'm doing is to celebrate the gift of life and celebrate with my senatorial district. I believe it is only fair and proper to appreciate those God has used for me to be in the Senate and to thank them for the good job they have done for me in voting for me to me in the office. 

"So, in the future, we can start talking if the time is right for me to know of I'm contesting or not, the future will determine that."
