Gov. Abiodun Mourns Business Icon and Socialite, Adebisi Edionseri, 'Cash Madam'


Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has expressed deep sadness over the demise of prominent businesswoman and socialite, Chief (Mrs.) Adebisi Edionseri, popularly known as 'Cash Madam.' 

She passed away on Sunday at the age of 89, leaving behind an enduring legacy of entrepreneurial excellence and vibrant social contributions.

In a statement issued on Monday, Governor Abiodun described Chief Edionseri's death as a significant loss, not only to Ogun State but also to Nigeria as a whole. He noted her remarkable achievements, which have inspired generations since the 1970s.

"I, on behalf of myself and the people of Ogun State, express heartfelt condolences to the family of Alhaja (Chief) Adebisi Edionseri," the Governor stated.

He praised her resilience, ambition, and ability to achieve unparalleled success at a young age, qualities that positioned her as a role model for countless individuals within and beyond Ogun State.

"Alhaja Adebisi's contributions to the business community and her vibrant social presence will be reference points for generations yet unborn. Her influence extended far and wide, making her a cherished figure in the hearts of many," Governor Abiodun remarked.

The Governor emphasized the immense void her passing leaves in the state but noted that her legacy would continue to inspire future entrepreneurs and social leaders. "As the state mourns the loss of such a formidable personality, the legacy of Chief (Mrs.) Adebisi Edionseri will undoubtedly continue to inspire future generations of entrepreneurs and social leaders," he added.
