Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, representing Ogun West Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, has expressed profound shock and sadness over the passing of Chief (Mrs.) Khadijah Adebisi Edionseri, fondly known as “Cash Madam,” at the age of 89.
In a condolence message signed by Kayode Odunaro, Media Adviser to Senator Adeola to the family of the late industrialist and philanthropist, Senator Adeola described her death as a significant loss not only to her immediate family but also to the womenfolk, Ogun State, and the nation at large.
“The demise of Chief (Mrs.) Khadijah Adebisi Edionseri is a painful blow to all of us. She was a beacon of hope, a pillar of philanthropy, and a relentless contributor to the socioeconomic growth of Ogun State and Nigeria. Just about a week ago, I had the privilege of sitting with her at a social function in Abeokuta, where we shared meaningful moments at the high table. Her passing is a great regret, but we take solace in the legacy she left behind,” Senator Adeola said.
The senator noted her selfless service to humanity and her remarkable achievements in the industrial sector, which earned her admiration and respect across the country.
He further prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and urged her family to find strength in her impactful life. “May God grant her family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, and may her soul find eternal peace,” he added.
