Aiyedatiwa Dissolves Cabinet, Retains Attorney General, Finance Commissioner

The Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the immediate dissolution of the State Executive Council.

This announcement, made on Monday, marked a significant development in the administration's restructuring efforts.

According to a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, the dissolution affects all cabinet members except two commissioners.

The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, and the Commissioner for Finance, Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac, were exempted due to the critical nature of their roles in the state’s governance.

“All the affected cabinet members are directed to hand over all government properties in their care to the accounting officers of their respective ministries,” the statement read.

Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude to the outgoing members of the Executive Council for their service and contributions to the development of Ondo State during their tenure. He noted their efforts in advancing the administration’s goals and wished them success in their future endeavors.

In his words, “The administration appreciates the diligence and commitment of the outgoing EXCO members. Their service has been invaluable to the progress we have made as a state. We wish them all the best as they move on to other endeavors.”
